LEGO Star 75036 Utapau Troopers

LEGO Star Wars 75036 Utapau Troopers (Toy) This is one of four of the new small sets for Lego Star Wars. Three of the sets have four troopers. The other combines droids with a clone trooper. I immediately wanted the three with the clone troopers because, like anyone else who has bought Lego Star Wars sets for a while, I have a ton of droids. This set was great as an expansion for unique clone troopers, like the other two. The troopers are in identical pairs and each pair is great. The more standard trooper type is a great addition to a minifigure collection. I have always been partial to Commander Cody and the the orange troopers, so buying this set was an easy choice. The other figures are fun and different. Their helmets give them a very unique appearance. Their #holsters# are made of the same fabric as the capes in other lego sets so they don't work as well as the old plastic holsters for appearances.
The droid, which is a new one for Lego is fun to build and very unique, but it is not very functional to shoot. The flick fire missiles are really difficult to hit without striking another missile and deflecting the power of the flick. this droid is mainly just for appearances or display.
Overall, the set is fun. The minifigures are great and worth the cost of the set alone. The droid is not really special, but that is not why I bought the set, so it plays a very small part of my review. The new guns are fantastic. I tried shooting one and was surprised when it flew over three feet! The studs really fly when they are shot and, thankfully, you are given a few extra since they are easy to lose when they are fired that far. This set is worth it for the minifigures, and the new guns make it even better.
