But they're worth it. They are comfortable and practical beyond any other underwear I've ever worn. Not the softest in the world maybe, but they essentially disappear under your pants, and that really counts when you're active.
ExOfficio has designed underwear here that moves with you, active or not, and performs well with anything I've managed to put them through. The gusseted crotch really keeps them moving and not bunching or riding, the fabric really does dry out far faster, and smell a lot less than others. There's no comparison with most store or national brands, and while I like my REI underwear that clearly imitates these, they're no match for the original here.
As a day-to-day item, these are great. But for long days, or extended travel, they really shine. You can easily wash them in a sink and wear them dry the next day, or just wear them a few days longer with more comfort if you need to.
It's hard to say something new, and so I won't try too much. Rather, as a large guy (better than 6 feet, and better than 240 lbs) I know that these can really do what they were intended to do.
