Dead Island Riptide [Online Game Code] (Software Download) Yes, I loved the first one, yes I loved this one too. For some the play mechanics is way too boring and repetitive, for me it's where the fun is at.
Does it feels unpolished? YES but looks better than the first one.
Does it ends too soon? YES but it depends if you rush through the amin plot, NO if you do the side quests.
Is it really an expansion? YES and it feels like it was rushed because the main Publisher THQ went bakrupt and they had to get all the money to keep going.
Does it deserve your money? YES but wait until it is less than 20 bucks, otherwise you'll feel like these guys stole your money.
Is it fun? YES, but if you didn't like the first one don't expect to like this one, it's zombie grinding at its best.
Should you play it alone? NO, get some friends or find some via the game's internet matchmaker to play along.

BTW even if you export your character from the first game can be exported and you get Level 70, enemies will be at level 75 and will kick your ass again and again... but this keeps the game challenging and it is not a bug. OH! I forgot, the bugs in this game are hilarious!
