My 5 year old accidentally knocked in the water and it was done. I researched lots before making this purchase and I am so glad that I upgraded to the paper white kindle. I can finally read at night without disturbing my husband or our newborn who sleeps in our room. It is fast as far as downloads go & I believe it is much better than my original kindle. I am so glad I upgraded. I read more on this kindle than I did on my previous kindle.
