Toshiba SD V296 Tunerless DVD Combo

Toshiba SD-V296 Tunerless DVD VCR Combo (Electronics) Our old Magnavox gave out some years ago and we wanted to capture several old home VHS tapes to disk files. Pairing this with Hauppauge 610 USB-Live 2 and my Ubuntu 12.04 Linux PC and the VLC free software application is all working very nicely so far.

I'd give it 5 stars but I've not tried the DVD yet.
