Foscam FI8904W Outdoor Wireless Viewing

Foscam FI8904W Outdoor Wireless/Wired IP Camera with 15-20 Meter Night Vision and 6mm Lens (67° Viewing Angle) - Silver (Electronics) I have had 5 of these cameras and I have had to return them all. what went wrong you ask. First of all you must know I live in a warm and cold climate. Each camera had some different problems before it died. Each camera I had I used wired not wireless. Wireless is unsecure even with the passwords and unreliable. Bad weather or interference will disconnect the camera.

Problems

On a sunny day the camera would disconnect. No video on my recording software. I was able to log in onto the camera and I used IE and Fire Fox. I was able to reboot the camera or set or disable alarms but no video. I would have to reboot the camera to get my video back.

With low light like at night with flood lights running the camera would stay connected. Or with no light the LEDs would work and light up the area. Some cameras that I had would not show the area if there was dim lighting even with a porch light running.

Cold rain or just cold nights When the camera got cold it would shut down just like a sunny day. I had to bring the camera inside to warm up to get it to work.

Final Thoughts I got another camera same price range with more bells and whistles. This camera doesn't have 2 way audio and S-Video.
