the 18% gray seems about 1/3 stop too reflective. I get better results from my carboard grey card, but that is a pain to carry and easily damaged by the environment. Typically I manually stop up 1/3 stop to compensate, so it works. Shouldn't have to do that, though.
2nd, the card is slightly too small to fill the entire frame easily for white balance. If you have one-button white balance on your camera through a spot meter it's fine, but if you need to take a photo and recall that photo from memory to set the balance, it's a hassle.
I'd look some more before buying this, but if it's all you can find it will do in a pinch
