Isotoner Women's Classic Satin Ballerina Slipper (Shoes) These black slippers are my shoe of choice now. Yes, I know they are supposed to be house slippers but they are so comfortable and stylish, no one has ever noticed they aren't regular shoes. I've worn them to work for well over a year now with no problems. I can walk across pavement and/or a gravel drive with no discomfort. The only drawback is that you need to purchase several pairs and keep one pair in a bag in the car. Because they are soft bottomed, they'll absorb water in an instant so walking across a parking lot in the rain means you have to slip into a fresh pair as soon as you're inside the building. They are machine washable which is great although too many washings means they start to separate from the sole in places. Relegate those slightly frayed pairs to garden work and your feet will thank you there, too.
