Monsters University [HD] (Amazon Instant Video) Hi, Im a parent of 3 kids 6, 4, and 2 (my boy finally) and I just happily dished out the $19.99 for Monsters University and sat down with the fam and popcorn for our movie night of fun. Although we all tried, none of us, ecspecially the kids, were into Monsters U after about 30 minutes. The Pixar team seems to have taken the only part about Monsters Inc. that nobody really was curious about, which is 'So what happened BEFORE all this?' and made an entire freaking movie about it. What would have been cool, is if it was a movie that expanded on the most personal and involved part of Monsters inc which was the interaction between a giant monster and a small child, whom the monster was supposed to put the fear of god into, and the child who shouldve feared the giant creature. A great sequel would have been about the gang getting trapped in he human world somehow, and having to blend in for an extended amount of time. Dressing like humans, observing funny human behaviors, imitating said behaviors, going to work, etc. and coming into an appreciation of humans, and in the end finding a way to interact with the humans in a positive way, while getting energy off our laughter, or maybe start scaring adults, because thats way funnier than scaring little kids. I dont know... I thought it was kind of not great, and it made me sad because its a Disney/Pixar, and they rule. My recommendo is I PROBABLY WOULDNT BOTHER AND THAT MAKES ME MAD BECAUSE PIXAR IS AWESOME.
