dont know Admitting Ignorance Shouldnt

I don't know: In Praise of Admitting Ignorance (Except When You Shouldn't) (Hardcover) I absolutely loved this book. Leah Hager Cohen has written many insightful books reflecting on the vagaries
of human interaction which we THINK are mundane but essential to address. She gets to the heart
of the matter of our social embarrassment in admitting we don't know something -- for fear of derision, reprisal,
or just utter shame. This book helps to educate us why intellectual honesty is so important and why
we NEED to admit our ignorance about what we don't know -- ignorance that can cause people harm. We have
all feigned knowledge of something in order to look more competent. But doing so deprives us of open,
honest discussions with people -- discussion that can help us get to know one another -- not just by outing our weaknesses,
but by revealing our humanity. Excellent and essential reading. Every politician, every doctor, every lawyer,
and every professional journalist needs to read this book.
