Final Fantasy XIV Collectors Download

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Collector's Edition [Download] (Software Download) So, I read a few reviews for before purchasing FFXIV:RR. Most people who weren't incredibly mad at the launch debacles were pretty positive, and i have to agree, it's a good game. Here's my quick PRO/CON list for long time MMO & RPG (mostly comparing to GW2 & WoW) players:

This review is having played 2 chars to level 10. Any functionality beyond that is unknown to me.

PRO:

- It's gorgeous and detailed. It's far and away from the cartoony style of WoW. Even after the devs addressed graphics so that almost all computers can play it it still looks better that GW2.

- It feels like FF. Plot lines are mystic and ambiguous at first, gradually leading up to epic.

- The music is stellar and if you are a long time FF fan than you basically sit in a pool of nostalgia all day.

- The item storage and carrying addresses a lot of issues the GW2 and WoW had. Storage space is given in bulk for items. Drops from regular mobs are auto-looted. It makes the game seamless in the way that you're not micromanaging your inventory (unless you are crafting).

- Incorporates "fates" like GW2 events, random spawned objectives that reward silly amounts of XP for players who contribute.

CON:

- Combat seems less active than that of GW2, more wow style.

- Other than FATES, quests are still boring like all other MMO's. GW2 has it beat here because of the live voices for quests, those really go a long way when trying not to fall asleep questing.

- The UI is a bit overkill. There are a lot of options but the default layout just seems cluttered.

I'll update again at level 20 on both chars!
