Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY [Online Game Code] (Software Download) What more can be said about 2009's "Game of the Year"? The graphics are awesome; the story is engaging; The Joker is creepy and his voice is spine-tingling; the challenges are thought-provoking; and the action is thrilling. There's not a thing not to love about the game. After 'Myst,' hidden object games, being enthralled by 'Tradewinds' and 'Polar Bowler' (Please don't laugh!) maybe I don't have enough experience to compare, but the breakthroughs of 'Batman Arkham Asylum' are impressive, and I have only experienced 1% of the game. It is chilling enough in atmosphere, stellar in suspense, and dark enough in mood.

My objections are not going to be encountered by all (or perhaps even many) gamers, but enacting "Steam" as my stream, was frustrating. (Thanks, by the way, to all the reviewers who chimed in that "Steam" was essential to this 'Batman...' game experience. I believed you then, and I believe you now.) Then, getting into 'Windows Gaming' took incredibly long. I was going in circles until I finally was able to enable the game and play. Literally, it took me hours. For most of you, these points are trivia pursuit, and most of you would have taken the pains I did to get this game going...but I think there should be more instructions and less reliance on so many more purveyors than Amazon from the onset. Yes, there were some directions, but more detailed, step-by-step instructions would have made the set up experience far more hassle-free.

Set up was a pain, but now I'm in the world I never dreamed could be available to play on the computer. Cheers.
