Kindle Paperwhite, 6" High Resolution Display with Next-Gen Built-in Light, Wi-Fi - Includes Special Offers (Electronics) Let me start by saying, I have the kfhd 8.9... I'm on it constantly playing games, surfing the web and reading. However as we all know it's definitely not a dedicated reading device. I knew I wanted the Paperwhite as well, but waited for the new one (due to the first generation's screen lighting issues). I couldn't be happier with the new Paperwhite, it's light, compact with all the features I can't believe I lived without.

I've been playing with the lighting (in bright light set at 22, darker light set at 12).... and voila! ... no more eye strain, which was a big issue for me before. The screen is very responsive, and easy to navigate. It's also quite handy to browse through pages/chapters without losing your place. I chose the special offers, personally... I don't mind seeing an add for the brief second it takes me to swipe to the home screen.

I never want to own another physical book again. Having a complete library at my fingertips, and a clutter free bookshelf... is pure joy!
