Before you even think about buying this puzzle, break out a yard stick and make sure you have the surface area to hold it at 52" x 24" otherwise you may have to put it together on the floor. My dining room table is slightly bigger, but I had trouble working in the edges (where I usually work on parts before putting them in the rightful place I the puzzle) which meant a couple pieces would fall off. Some that would stay on the ground long enough for the dog to think it was a dinner scraps. I ended up losing two pieces that became mangled cardboard that way. For the pieces that did not find their way into my dog's mouth, they are thick and you can tell when they cleanly fit together. Two of the pieces came bent in half, which is not bad out of 2000 pieces, but you would still like that number to be zero. As you can tell by the picture, this is a beautiful puzzle, the kind you will want to glue together for prosperities sake after you are done (as long as the dog does not ruin any of your pieces). It is also very challenging. The castle in the middle comes together fairly easily but after that it will be one of the more challenging puzzles you can try. But when you get it together, the beauty of the finished product will make it worth it no matter how long it takes.
