Serious Sam 3: BFE [Download] (Software Download) So far of the SS games I've played the HD editions of The First Encounter and The Second Encounter. In my opinion those are 5 star manic shooters. This game is really awesome and well worth anyone's while, especially if they liked TFE and TSE. I would easily recommend this to anyone. The reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is missing the constantly manic, crazed all-out batsh** battles that TFE and TSE had, at least in the same quantity. In those earlier games the pacing never let up, it was just crazed all the way. In BFE you still get some manic crazed battles but they are far less frequent. Also, I didn't feel the sense of panic and urgency nearly as often as I did in the first 2. When this game DID ratchet up the action to the level of the first 2 it was easily a 5, but most of the game it was really easy to mow down everything because the hordes usually hit you from the same direction and usually through narrow streets or pathways, easily dealt with for any SS vetera. In the first 2 you were often surrounded on every side and had to desparately find a way to fight your way through and survive, with this its mostly just back peddle and mow the bastiches down. That being said, this is far better than most sci-fi/horror shooters out today, I love this game and have now played through it twice and will play the DLC this week. As much as I love the first 2 more I completely recommend this, it is Seriously good stuff.
