Kodak EasyShare Waterproof Digital Camera

Kodak Sport C135 14MP Waterproof Digital camera with digital zoom (Red) (Camera) We needed a waterproof camera for a cruise. I opted to purchase this. My husband bought a waterproof bag for his smartphone.

As others mentioned, it's important to make sure the battery case is closed. Also, make sure to wash the camera in the sink or something if you take it in salt water, so the mechanisms will be clean for the next use.

The pictures we took with the Kodak are gorgeous. We have some of the most beautiful fish from our Cozumel snorkeling trip, pictures of stingrays underwater in Grand Cayman, and pictures of the jungle in Jamaica. We even got a few segments of video from underwater at Stingray City.

My husband's cellphone-in-a-bag option worked, but not well. The pictures are rather blurry because it was hard for him to push buttons on the phone while swimming. You have to push hard through the bag to get the capacitive touch to work on the phone, where as you just have to snap the button on the camera quickly, like you would outside the water. The Kodak was a great choice.

The previous year we purchased disposable underwater cameras, and those were ok, but the picture quality on the digital was much better.

I can't wait to take it to Hawaii next year!
