Since Christmas is approaching, we decided to thread wire through the top holes to hang them on the tree as ornaments. The plates are versatile enough to easily make reindeer, snowmen, wreaths, candy canes and so much more. This really stimulates creativity in my child.

We originally thought these were the small beads we regularly see in children's art/rec. programs. We were shocked to find that these Perler Biggie plates and beads are huge! Each plate size is 6 X 6 inches. One "Biggie" bead is twice as high and about three times as wide. You get a great variety of plates- a circle, dog and a square. Just as important, they include brightly-colored directions for EVERY shape you see in the product photo-PLUS a rabbit and bird.

Note: Once a child configures a pattern on the pronged plate, you use the re-useable parchment-type paper to cover and iron on top of that (like with traditional fuse beads). The Biggie beads take a bit longer to iron. Don't leave iron in one spot too long, since they can melt quickly, which will warp the figure.

There are enough beads to make all these creations and more, though I recommend buying extra Biggie beads Perler Beads Biggie Beads Fused Bead Bucket to have enough of the colors you want for extended use.
